Group Classes
At Airdrie Puppy Pals, we have a dedicated +2,000 sq foot training bay and offer three group classes Puppy Class, Jr. Puppy Class, Minding Our Manners.
Each class is led by Nikki Nordick; educated, experienced Dog Trainer (CDBC, CBCC-KA) and owner of Airdrie Puppy Pals.
Puppy Class
Join the learning and playtime fun with Puppy Class! Our group class offers open enrollment; you can register to join a class at any time.
During Puppy class, we focus on key areas of socialization and development. From on-leash activities to off-leash playtime, your puppy will learn and practice foundational skills such as gaining attention, sitting still, laying down,, leash manners, leash greetings, and so much more!
Puppy Class is open to dogs of all sizes and breeds between 8 and 16 weeks of age. Each individual class is $32.95 plus GST. When you complete four or more classes, your puppy will earn a graduation certificate!
If your dog is unsure of, or may be reactive towards other dogs, we recommend booking a free phone consultation with Nikki before registering for the class.
Jr Puppy Class
Our Jr. Puppy Class is structured similarly to our Puppy Class and is designed for our “teenager“ dogs who are at least 16 weeks old and have received their Rabies vaccinations. There is no age limit; dogs over 8 months of age must be spayed or neutered.
In this group setting, we focus on key aspects of continued socialization and development. No prior training is required—each class is unique, with on-leash and off-leash activities and learning games tailored to the needs of the group. (At the beginning of each session, we ask participants what they’d like to focus on and build a customized experience just for them!)
Each individual Jr Puppy class is $32.95 plus GST.
If your dog is unsure of, or may be reactive towards other dogs, we recommend booking a free phone consultation with Nikki before registering for the class.
Minding Our Manners
Our Minding Our Manners course is a five-week program for dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds. There’s no age limit or prerequisites, and dogs don’t need to be spayed or neutered. They do need to have their Rabies vaccination.
In this group setting, we focus on understanding how dogs learn and how to communicate with them effectively so they respond the first time we ask them to do something. Topics covered include walking calmly on a loose leash around other dogs and humans, waiting patiently at open doors, avoiding jumping on people, refraining from stealing food off counters, and much more.
No prior training is necessary—each class builds on the previous one and includes weekly activities to practice at home. The entire five-week course is $190 plus GST.
If your dog is unsure of, or may be reactive towards other dogs, we recommend booking a free phone consultation with Nikki before registering for the class.
