Our Story

Back in 2014, Nikki noticed that Airdrie, home to over 10,000 licensed dogs, lacked convenient off-leash times at the local dog park. To address this, Nikki started organizing community puppy play dates through a Facebook page, listening closely to the concerns of local dog owners. It became clear that there was a need for a different, better approach to dog care—one that truly understood the needs of both dogs and their owners. That summer, Nikki, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Certified Behavior Consultant Canine, and Fear Free Professional, began offering personalized dog walking and in-home pet sitting services, bringing a new level of care to the community.

Expansion & Growth

By October 2014, the demand for quality dog care led to the hiring of Holly, our longest-standing employee and now team lead. Just one year later, in October 2015, Airdrie Puppy Pals Inc. opened its first facility next to a popular off-leash park, expanding our services to include dog daycare, boarding, and training. Today, due to high demand, we’ve opened a second facility and are excited to announce the opening of a third—a 12,000 square foot wellness center in November 2023. This expansion means we can continue to provide the exceptional care and attention your dog deserves, ensuring that every dog in our care is happy, healthy, and well-looked after.
