Why Choose APP?
We know there are other dog daycare options out there, and we’re proud to stand out from the crowd. At Airdrie Puppy Pals, we believe in doing things differently, starting from the very first interaction with your dog. Here’s a look at what makes us unique and why we may be the perfect fit for your Puppy Pal.
Personalized Meet and Greets
Every dog is unique, and we honor that from the very beginning with our personalized meet and greet. This isn’t just our standard practice—it’s our proactive approach to learning about each dog in our care before our first day of Daycare. After the initial meet and greet, we schedule an intentional first day of daycare based on what we observed. This helps us set your dog and the dogs in our care up for success. If for whatever reason your Puppy Pal is not having the best day, we’ll call you to discuss. Our priority is to help you, your dog and the dogs in our care succeed.
A Tailored Day
Our daily activities vary based on the dogs we have,2. their personalities and energy levels. Mornings are often spent helping the pups navigate their excitement; some dogs are ready to go while others might still need that “second cup of coffee.” After all the drop-offs, we head outside for pee breaks, taking dogs out in pairs so we can closely monitor them. This isn’t just about routine—it’s about proactive safety. We watch for any unusual signs, like odd pee colors, and share our observations with you. This kind of attention to detail isn’t possible when dogs are just left to roam outside together in a yard.
Engagement and Learning
Our days are filled with learning games, positive play, and practicing good manners like sit/stays, recall, and door manners. We act as cheerleaders for positive interactions, guiding dogs toward good behavior in a fun and supportive way. We also offer a variety of add-ons, like nail trims, agility, brain games and maintain a structured schedule with another round of pee breaks every four hours (or sooner if a dog signals they need it).
Building Trust Through Touch
As the day winds down, we focus on cooperative care with head-to-toe checks. This is our proactive approach to support our Puppy Pals’ health and wellness. We carefully check every single dog for play scratches, early signs of ear infections, sore joints, dental issues, cracking paw pads and more, sharing any findings with you at pick-up. Most importantly, these checks help dogs feel safe and comfortable with being gently handled, reinforcing positive touch and ensuring they know they are in caring hands.
Ending the Day Right Paw
At the start of pick-up time, we encourage calmer play and learning activities to help your dog wind down and be ready for a safe, stress-free pick-up as their friends start to go home. Throughout the day, dogs are free to nap whenever they want—we don’t force rest because every dog’s needs are different. Our goal is to create an environment where your dog feels at home and can thrive.
Communication: We’re Here
At pick-up, remember: no news is good news! If we say your dog had a great day, they truly did. You’re always welcome to ask any questions because we know our dogs well and are committed to transparency. If we ever have any behavior questions or concerns, we won’t bring them up at pick-up. Instead, we’ll call you for a two-way conversation where we can ask and answer each other’s questions, ensuring we work together to support your dog’s success.
Not Just a Drop-and-Go
We’re not the kind of daycare that rotates dogs in and out of crates or offers limited playtime. Those facilities exist and may work well for some families, and that’s perfectly fine! At Airdrie Puppy Pals, we do what works for our APP family, creating a personalized, engaging, and caring environment for every dog. If our approach aligns with your values, we’d love to welcome you to our community. Click here to schedule an in-person Meet and Greet. We have lots of fun here—and we’d love for your dog to join in!
